A linear walk in Pembrokeshire following part of the Wales Coast Path (now celebrating its 10th anniversary) then heading inland to explore the estate. We’ll see Lily ponds then finish in the village of Bosherston.
Starting in Stackpole Quay, we’ll make our way to Barafundle Bay, often voted the best beach in Britain (the judges obviously don’t know Gower!).
On the cliffs of Stackpole Head, we may find the seabirds that have been nesting all summer. On the land behind, we may be lucky to come across rare Choughs.
We’ll head inland to explore Stackpole Estate and see the man-made Bosherston Lakes. We’ll discover what remains of the magnificent mansion that Lord Nelson visited just before Trafalgar.
Our lunch stop will be in Stackpole Walled Garden where there is a café and shop selling local produce.
After lunch, we’ll head south, following the lake until we reach the main ‘Lily Pond’ section of the lakes. We then make our way to Bosherston Village where the coach will meet us.
