Start time: 10:30
Strenuous 9 miles / 14.5 km
This is a 9 mile very strenous walk in the Shropshire Hills. We will start in the village of Church Stretton and follow some of the lesser-walked and quieter paths. We will walk to All Stretton and then cross the main road to climb Caer Caradoc, along tracks, through woodland areas and paths to Ragleth Hill. We will then descend down into the gorgeous area of Little Stretton, where we can stop for a break at the Green Dragon pub, and then back along footpaths to the starting point.
The walk involves several very steep ascents and descents, where footing can be difficult, particularly if there has been rain recently. Due to the strenuous nature of the route, we will take a moderate pace and regular rest/breaks. The two main peaks offer excellent panoramic views.
This is a circular walk
