Leisurely 7 miles / 11.3 km
A stile-free route in the Lake Vyrnwy area. Just over 7 miles, mostly on forest tracks and road. The total ascent is just over 1100 feet, mostly gradual with one steep section of descent on a stony track. There will be an opportunity to view the area below the dam before crossing it to access the trail which will provide autumnal views across the lake and the surrounding hills.

The lower (main) car park below the Visitors Centre at Lake Vyrnwy.
After Llanwyddyn, turn left to cross the dam, then turn left and follow the road past the first car park by the café, pass a second 'lay by' parking area and take the signed sharp left road by a Post Box to descend to the main car park.
