Leisurely 9.3 miles / 15 km
Meet at NT car park The Moor Cookham (B4447). A circular walk with views of the River to Marlow. Please Note:- There could be charges at the Car Park as NT are planning to install Pay machines date not known at present. Please make sure you have your NT Membership card as you will have to swipe it to get a free ticket.
Due to high river levels we are unable to do the route planned. I have found an alternative route that is 9.3 miles rather than 8 miles as advertised. We will be walking from Cookham to Marlow via Bourne End, Spade Oak and Little Marlow. We will stop in Marlow for Tea and Coffee break and then The Bounty for lunch about one mile from the end of walk. In Spade Oak there is an old House called the Old Thatch formally a Pub Rose and Crown also this is where Enid Blyton use to live 1929 - 1938. When we walk around Spade Oak Lake there could be a possible sighting of two Black Swans.
