Moderate 7.5 miles / 12.1 km
Aim of walk to view the heather in bloom on the finest heather moors in the Skipton district. Walk is a 7.5 mile circular route of “M “ grade and includes moor paths, woodland tracks and field paths and a total of 1.25 miles of quiet roads. The route uses part of the Pennine Way path. No steep gradients but there is a steady climb of 950ft from Elslack to the summit OS column on Pinhow Beacon. 2 No ladder stiles and a few fence stiles, with stone step stiles on the moor. Contribution to travel will be £6.00 and sturdy boots and a good supply of liquid will be required.
