This walk is approximately 8 miles long and is easy to moderate. It is on well marked paths across even terrain. Starting in Burton Leonard, we head south east on a green lane towards the quiet village of Farnham, passing downhill through woodland.

On the outskirts of Farnham, we join part of The Knaresborough Round, skirting round some of the old Farnham Quarry gravel pits (now a tranquil wildlife haven) and emerge in the hamlet of Lingerfield. From Lingerfield we take a bridleway across pasture towards the village of Brearton before heading north to pick up Rakes Lane Track (part of Ripon Rowel Walk) and back into Burton Leonard through the old lime kilns, now a Yorkshire Wildlife nature reserve.

If you wish to go direct to the walk start point, please contact the walk leader.
