Chiltern Heritage Trail Section 4 - Great Missenden to Chesham

Strenuous 14 miles / 22.5 km
A delightful section through many villages, crossing ridges and valleys. The walk rises out of Great Missenden via Ballinger Common to The Lee, across to Lee Common for early lunch at Chartridge at The Bell pub or picnic (5.5 mls). Bus option for return to Chesham. Long afternoon via Asheridge, skirting Buckland Common to Cholesbury (possible short refreshment stop). Continue on easier route down a long valley towards Hawridge Bottom to Chesham Vale with 2 miles road link back to Chesham. Mostly good paths with some lanes/roads. One long slow climb and two short climbs with brisker pace in the afternoon. Mobile on the day only: 07713 025494.
