An 8 mile circular around Constable Country. The National Gallery currently have an exhibition of Thomas Cole entitled Eden To Empire. (All Ramblers members can obtain a 2 for 1 offer on tickets to this exhibition when showing their membership card when purchasing tickets.) Thomas Cole was one of the primary activists in the original National Parks movement in the USA. He much admired John Constable & the exhibition includes some of Constable's works. See some of the landscape that influenced Constable on this walk including his famous painting The Hay Wain. This walk is being run in conjunction with the National Gallery and hopefully will appear on other group programmes.
