A walk from Stone in the footsteps of Josiah Wedgwood and James Brindley. With three climbs, the walk includes the Downs, the Millennium Monument, the National Trust woodland at Downs Banks, the Wedgwood Estate, Barlaston and a section of the Trent and Mersey Canal used for transporting raw materials to the potteries and fine china and porcelain on its way to customers all over the world.

Crown Street Short Stay Car Park. Take the A520 (Stafford Road) into Stone. As you pass the Star pub on your left, continue in the one-way system around the corner to the public car park on the immediate left-hand side. Free parking and toilets. 38 miles from West Bromwich.
