Farleton Fell and Hutton Roof Crags are near junction 36 of the M6 and with great views across Morecambe Bay, the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District mountains.
This strenuous walk will start at 09.30 and covers 12 miles with 2000ft (600m) of ascent.
The walk starts near the Hideaway cafe and follows the Lancaster canal for a short distance before going through Farleton village and taking a very steep ascent up the side of Farleton Fell where the limestone pavement provides spectacular scenery with views in all directions. Hutton Roof Crags are more wooded and the return trail includes a mix of fields, woods and lanes.
