Leisurely 8.5 miles / 13.7 km
A linear walk from Trent Bridge along the banks of the River Trent to Attenborough Nature Reserve and across Chilwell Rec to Cator Lane tram stop. The walk is on roads and well-made paths with no stiles and is very level (total ascent 26m). This walk is dog friendly. A shorter walk of 6 miles is available by a short cut at Attenborough – please contact the leader if you are interested. This is the first stage of four walks around the Nottingham urban area. The next three stages of the Nottingham Circle walk will appear in future walk programmes.

There is limited parking near the start point. Please remember this is a linear walk so you will have to get public transport back to the start.
Please bring your bus pass/card if you have one. The start point can be reached via an extensive bus service from Nottingham City Centre 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 & 10 and from West Bridgford 5, 6, 7, 8 & 9. The walk finishes at Cator Lane tram stop with a frequent service to Nottingham City Centre & Toton.
