A circular walk over farm tracks on to a broad well defined ridge which is followed to the summits of Aran Benllyn and Aran Fawddwy. The return route follows a steep grassy tongue breaking the precipitous east face of the mountain to the cwm containing the mountain lake Creiglyn Dyfi then by the grassy edge of Braich-yr-hwch and finally again over farm tracks and lanes.
