Starting from the Harting Downs public car park this is a more challenging walk than normal probably equivalent to an A walk with several hills to tackle; a few stiles too. Stops for coffee and lunch.

Dry underfoot - mostly on tracks and paths with a few short stretches on tarmac. Shorts NOT recommended due to some sections with nettles/brambles. Several very long ups and downs punctuate with several short but steep climbs. Great views. This is more challenging (and longer) than a normal B walk. Stops for coffee and lunch. £2 for CP - cash only no change given - free for NT members but bring your card.

This is a circular walk
Some great views around the S Downs and a walk that takes in all the Mardens. Be prepared for the more challenging terrain than a normal B walk. Routing via Telegraph House, N Marden, Apple Down, E Marden, Up Marden, W Marden, Compton and Fernbeds Down. Stops for coffee and lunch.
