Thursday, 27 June 2019
Start time: 10:00
(Estimated finish time: 12:30)
Leisurely 6 miles / 9.7 km
Starting from the car park off Workhouse Lane, E Meon, this is a relatively flat walk along the northern flank of the South Downs to the east of E Meon with just 1 short ascent and the odd stile. Can be muddy in Spring. Coffee stop 1115.
POST RECCE UPDATE 20 JUN 19 - quite wet and muddy underfoot following the recent rain - good waterproof boots essential. Might be worth gaiters and stick as some of the lanes are very 'pitted' and slippery. Couple of gentle inclines but mainly on the flat. Footpaths and tracks with a little on tarmac. Coffee stop around 1115.
