The woods are centuries old, from 1331, owned by St Augustine's Abbey in Bristol, as a source of timber. Our walk will take us through the ancient woodland down to the river Avon, Paradise bottom and the Arboretum before dropping down to the outskirts of Ham Green and returning along the river, climbing back to the start.
