This walk with Rashid, one of our Sandwell Valley specialists, takes you along tracks beside lakes and through woodland within this urban oasis on your doorstep. You will pass through the RSPB reserve, walk beside Swan Pool and Forge Mill Lake, follow the banks of the River Tame and stop by the Sandwell Priory ruins and Sand Well, just for old times' sake!
There is also a 5 mile option, where the leader will direct you back to the starting point at an earlier stage in the walk.
Please note: No car share from Sandwell Road. RSPB Sandwell Valley, off Tanhouse Avenue, Hamstead, Birmingham. Park on Tanhouse Avenue near to the RSPB entrance, or just inside the RSPB gates. 4 miles from West Bromwich.
