Moderate 10 miles / 16.1 km
Linear to Holmwood Station. The walk climbs gently through beautiful villages, past ancient farms and through verdant woodland to Leith Hill, one of the highest points in south-east England, with a stunning 360-degree panorama from its viewing tower. Although the ascent is very gentle there is, however, a steep descent after Leith Hill. Lunch stop at Coldharbour at 'The Plough Inn' - or bring a picnic. About 4 hours walking. Map: E145/146, L187.
NOTE: Sunset is at 17:47. Will aim to catch the 16:28 train from Holmwood Station.
