Strenuous 12 miles / 19.3 km
This 12 mile strenuous walk begins steeply after leaving Craig y Nos, followed by a long gradual ascent to the top of Fan Gyhirych, where, if weather is favourable, you have fantastic views of Fan Brycheiniog, Llyn y Fan Fawr, Cray Reservoir and as far as Corn Du and Pen y Fan. We return to our start point along the old tramway skirting past Penwyllt quarry.
