A mainly flat but varied walk between two vibrant neighbourhoods, via London Fields, Victoria Park and Hackney and Walthamstow Marches. Much of the walk is along three waterways - Regent's Canal, Hertford Union Canal and the River Lee, and the walk passes the Olympic Park and Walthamstow Wetlands Nature Reserve. There will be a coffee stop in Victoria Park and a late lunch in Walthamstow Village (pub, café or picnic). Opportunity in the afternoon to visit the Vestry House Museum in the village or the William Morris Gallery in the town (both free). Mobile on the day only: 07733 263256.
