Whaley Bridge to Hayfield - Derbyshire
From Whaley Bridge we head up into Lyme Park and take the N Cheshire Way to Cage Hill and follow the ridge down to Disley. At Disley we enter the Goyt Valley and walk along the Millennium Walkway that sweeps along the contours above the river. We reach The Torrs, a deep gorge the meeting point of the rivers Sett and Goyt, the location of spinning & weaving mills that used the force of waters to power their machinery. We now take the Sett Valley Trail following the river through Birch Vale to finish at Hayfield.
Shorter walks of 8.5 and 5 miles will be provided.
