The Castles of Kent: Meet at Portland Road car park (by The Green and behind the closed Duke's Head pub). The walk follows the Military Canal through Hythe and onto Saltwood Castle. The route then returns via Pedling, crossing Brockhill Stream and back into Hythe. Portland Rd Car Park is Pay and Display - cost £1.00 for 3 hours or £2.00 for all day - though places are limited. There is usually plenty of free parking available a short distance away along A259 Dymchurch Road, or along A259 Military Road on the other side of the Military Canal. Registered Assistance Dogs Only (RADO) The number of places on this walk is restricted to 5 (excluding the walk leader). BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL.
