Strenuous 25 miles / 40.2 km
We understand that the bus to Louth is not running on this date, anyone wanting to walk would need to find a way to arrive at Louth Church for 8am. Please contact Sid if you have any problems.
For 2021 it is hoped to walk the Johnson Silver Lincs Way on Friday 20th August. It is planned to start from St. James Church Louth and arrive back at Scartho Fork, Grimsby, taking about 9 hours . This 25 mile walk is not for the faint hearted but will not be a race, only those who have the confidence to walk this distance and pace would be wise to attempt this walk. For those who are unsure, they should try our 15 mile walks beforehand. If anyone wants to do half distance they could leave us at Ludborough from where they could catch the bus back in to Grimsby, ( or back to Louth ).
To safeguard walkers in case of fatigue or illness we are requesting assistance of a Ramblers volunteer to provide a support car which could also be used to supply a top up of drinks along the route. This job could be shared by a couple of volunteers. If anyone is willing to take up this role please contact me as soon as able and we can discuss what is needed. For those wanting to take part in the walk contact me through the Ramblers website and further details will be given. Regards Sid
St James church.
We plan to park in Scartho and get the bus to the start in Louth . We think the bus leaves 07:49 but Sid will confirm this
