The walk moves West along the Ridgeway to Scutchamer Knob with fine views across the Oxford Plain, then down to Lands’ End in West Berkshire and on across fields to West Ilsley with its duck pond, then back to Bury Down for approximately midday. This is the first part of a figure of eight walk, the second part is 5 miles in length (and starts at 13.00 from the same location) which you are more than welcome to join if you would like.

Our area includes the White Horse at Uffington, the river Thames and the Ridgeway National Trail. Abingdon, Wantage and Faringdon are all market towns. We run an annual leadership training course.
