On leaving WW there will be up to 15 minutes’ walking past May’s Wood along May’s Hill road where we might need to be in single file. Otherwise, the route mostly uses footpaths that are part of national trails.
Apart from some steep climbing up to Bannam’s Wood, the route is of moderate difficulty through woodland and fields.

Aiming to set off at 10 am walking north then west past the railway station’s footpath emerging at bridge by Wawensmere Road.
Any walkers wishing to arrive by train from Birmingham Moor Street at WW station at 10.05 can meet us there (if we know you’re coming).
