From the NT car park, past the visitor centre and through the stone circles up onto the downs. Following part of the Ridgeway into protected areas to see the Sarson stones, the larger stones at Stonehenge, as they would have been. Fine views from the hill before returning for lunch in Avebury near visitor centre. Followed by a shorter walk past the ancient monuments, Silbury Hill and West Kennet Long Barrow to the south returning along the stone avenue. Bring food and drink for day.
