Group Leeds

We will walk along the river for a couple of miles and then cross the bridge   @ Bolton Abbey to start climbing through valley of desolation  up to the summit of Simon's seat where we will have lunch.

strenuous in parts

Please note there is a very steep descent down back to the river.

We will hopefully stop for a drink @ a cafe in Howgills about a mile before the finish.

Starting point

Barden Bridge -- heading north on the B6160 you turn right just past Barden Tower - follow the sign to Appletreewick & Pateley Bridge. The bridge is just a minute or two further on. Just over the bridge on the left is a car park & sometimes a field on the right is opened up..
