Moderate 9 miles / 14.5 km
We've not done for a while this superb walk (hopefully the sun is shining) which takes us from Freshfield station along the coastline, past Altcar and to Crosby and Anthony Gormleys statues looking out to sea.
We will return via train. (Note this walk may be done in reverse depending on tide).
Meeting at Freshfield train station at 10.30.
Ramblers members please remember to show your membership card or Phone Ap. (Otherwise, if not a Ramblers member please book a place via Hike on Lancashire on Meetup - suggested donation of £2)
Meeting 10.30 am at Freshfield station car park (free parking - or there was last time we parked there)
This is a linear walk
This is one of hundreds of Ramblers group walks for all ages and abilities every week - all led by our experienced walk leaders. You’re welcome to join us on any of our walks to see if the Ramblers is for you. Then, once you’ve enjoyed the views, fun, exhilaration and good company, it’s just a case of becoming a member.
Do make sure you're fit enough and have the right footwear and clothing for the walk you want to do, though. You can contact the group or leader if in doubt.
