Final resting place of a famous cricketer.
Additional notes
This is a circular walk
Meet slightly before 10.00am to allow us time to book lunch and use the facilities before setting off around 10.15am. Parking at the pub is limited so car sharing is to be encouraged. If you are not staying for lunch, please park elsewhere. Should parking at the pub be full, then try along the High Street or in front of the church at GU32 1LF.
The walk is approx 5.3 miles and includes 2 uphill sections, the one at the start is reasonably easy and the other requires a little more puff, but nothing too daunting!
There are two stiles, the second of which is slightly tricky but your smiling tour guides will be on hand to assist as required.
It is a lovely walk, essentially beginning and ending at the West Meon Church of St John the Evangelist. During the recce there were still many clusters of bluebells in evidence and some wild garlic for those who feel their lunch choice a little bland.
If you would like to attend, please book a place on the walk by miday Tuesday at the latest, stating whether you intend to stay for lunch. You may use the "Ask a question ..." email link above to make your booking.
Numbers for lunch are limited to 20.
