Easy 6 miles / 9.7 km
We start on the Trans Pennine Trail (TPT) and the River Dearne joining the Dearne Valley Way. We then follow the River Dearne under the A1965, through Wombwell Ings and re-join the TPT to the start point. Bring a drink and light refreshment with you. No pub staff but café at RSPB Nature Reserve information centre on completion.
Meet in the car park at RSPB Old Moor. Car park is free. Call the walk leader if struggling to find.
This is a circular walk
This is one of hundreds of Ramblers group walks for all ages and abilities every week - all led by our experienced walk leaders. You’re welcome to join us on any of our walks to see if the Ramblers is for you. Then, once you’ve enjoyed the views, fun, exhilaration and good company, it’s just a case of becoming a member.
Do make sure you're fit enough and have the right footwear and clothing for the walk you want to do, though. You can contact the group or leader if in doubt.
