From the Wern (GPS: 51.650890 -3.276981) (what3words: rinsed.truckload.meanings) we walk through Nelson to gain the path to Llanfabon where we will visit the Albion Colliery Disaster memorial. Then its the climb up ffos yr Haidal to gain the Rhymney Valley Ridgeway. Descending into Senghenydd we will visit the Sengheydd Memorial and then the National Mining Memorial Garden. Then its a climb up to Mynydd Eglwysilan before descending Heol Fawr to Parc Penallta and back to the Wern.
