Starting in Raincliffe Woods this walk then follows the boardwalk alongside the River Derwent in Forge Valley, passing the ruined Ayton Castle and returning on tracks across East Ayton Moor and Seamer Moor.
Large Car Park in Raincliffe Woods. If travelling from Scarborough the car park on the left after the Ox Pasture Hall Hotel turn. NB There are several car parks in the area. The Leader will be at the start point car park by 09.30 at the latest.
This is a circular walk
If wet the boardwalk can be slippery in places and walking poles are recommended. If dry poles are optional. Please continue to observe Covid protocols as set out in Ramblers guidance.
No dogs except registered assistance dogs with consent of leader.
