A hilly walk through the Chilterns with breathtaking natural views and some spectacular big houses (mansions) an route. Please bring a packed lunch. We'll also pause for a drink in what is possibly the most famous pub in the world.
We start by climbing out of Princes Risborough through farmland and woodland before passing our first spectacular house of th day, Hampden house which featured in the vintage TV series Hammer House of Horror. From there, we'll continue along the Chiltern Way until we meet the Ridgeway and our next house, Chequers, the official country residence of Prime Ministers, continuing to admire the view from Chequres Knap. After Calling in at the Plough at Caddesden for a drink at the same location frequented Prime Ministers and world leaders in the past we ascend Whiteleaf Hill to enjoy view as we head back to Princes Risborough.
