Moderate 10 miles / 16.1 km
A pleasant walk in Ashridge, going from the spectacular College towards beacon Hill via the Golden Valley, the dark wood at Hanging Coombe and over Gallows Hill. The return leg takes us through Ashridge woods and the golf course back to the College for a well earned cup of tea.
Bring a packed lunch.
COVID-19We all need to continue taking steps to help everyone feel safe. Do not come if you feel unwell in any way. Please follow all the safety advice given by the walk leader. For information about COVID-19 and Ramblers group walks, please see the guidance for walkers on the coronavirus pages of the Ramblers website. This is one of hundreds of Ramblers group walks for all ages and abilities every week - all led by our experienced walk leaders. You’re welcome to join us on any of our walks to see if the Ramblers is for you. Then, once you’ve enjoyed the views, fun, exhilaration and good company, it’s just a case of becoming a member.
Do make sure you're fit enough and have the right footwear and clothing for the walk you want to do, though. You can contact the group or leader if in doubt.
