Group name: Severnside

This group is a part of Avon Area.

Our activities include:
Short and easy walks

Severnside Ramblers have about 150 members. We are a friendly bunch and always keen to welcome new walkers and visitors - we hope that they enjoy themselves when out with us! So please come and sample our walks - you can walk 2 or 3 times with us before deciding to join the Ramblers.

Why not come along and enjoy meeting new friends?  If you've just moved to the Bristol area or for one reason or another you find yourself without friends to go out for a social get together, come along and meet new friends in Severnside Ramblers.

Our group helps local people and visitors enjoy walking and protecting the places we all love to walk. We organises regular walks led by local experts – a great way to get outside, make new friends and discover how walking boosts your health and happiness. You’re very welcome to try walking with us, or to get involved in looking after paths and green spaces and opening up new places to explore.

We are based in Bradley Stoke, north Bristol. Ideally sited for access to the Cotswolds, Mendips, Wiltshire Downs, Wye Valley and Brecon Beacons. We offer mid-week, evening (summer months only), Friday Ambles, Saturday and Sunday walks ranging from 3 miles to over 12 miles, something we hope for all walkers to enjoy. We publish a walks and social events programme every four months, you can download the programme form our website or find our walks via Ramblers Walks Finder.

Meeting point for Friday Ambles (short walks) is the Aldi Car Park, Brook Way, Bradley Stoke. For Evening, Saturday or Sunday walks the meeting point is Aztec West business park. See our website for more information.

But we don't stand still! We would also like to expand the walks we provide (e.g. additional midweek strolls, evening walks, etc.) so if you become a member of the Ramblers and would like to offer to lead a walk for Severnside Ramblers, please contact us.  We would really love to hear from you!

And we like to record memories of where we've been! Photographs of many of our previous walks are on our local website so have a look and see who we are and where we go.
