Area name: East Yorkshire & Derwent
Our predominantly rural area includes the land from York to the east coast, and from the Humber up to the North York Moors National Park. "Derwent" refers to that southern part of North Yorkshire and western part of East Yorkshire. We help both local people and visitors to enjoy walking in our beautiful locality.
We actively protect places we all love to walk by looking after rights of way and green spaces. Importantly we act as the leading voice on walking matters near you. As well as supporting our local groups to organise their regular led walks we also arrange weekly afternoon walks and monthly 'pub lunch walks'.
So our aim is to provide a variety of walks to cater for all abilities and experiences.
This is a great way to enjoy the countryside, make new friends and discover how walking boosts your health and happiness.
