Dundee Ramblers Walks 2018

25th February - Perth, Kinnoull Hill and Quarrymill

17 Ramblers braved the cold in the Fair City of Perth and surrounding area/  Well done Daniel, one of our Family Walkers. 9 miles is a long walk for a wee lad.

22nd February Circular Walk in and around Carnoustie

Lovely walk around Carnoustie, the home of Golf.

18th February Family Walk Balgay Hill

Only 6 on the walk today but we enjoyed it.  We saw snowdrops and squirrels and enjoyed a visit to the Observatory.  We will do this walk again when it is not half term.

17th February Drumoig to Tayport

Snowdrops, nice views and great weather for this walk.  Great to welcome members from other groups.

7th February Errol to Port Allen

Although this walk had been done a few weeks ago 20 people came along.  This walk was 2 miles shorter than last time.  We met Perth Ramblers walking in the opposite direction.

4th February Family Walk River Tay in Perth

18 Adults and 11 children and a dog came along to this walk over the Railway Bridge, Sculpture Trail, Tay Street and North Inch.  Very pleasant sunny day.

3rd February Balmerino

26 people walked from Wormit Bay to Balmerino and back.  They did not let the dreich damp weather dampen their spirits.

28th January Auchterhouse, Balluderon and Craigowl Hills

15 Adults and 2 children walked 5 miles to 3 summits of the locally known ABC Hills in the Sidlaws.  A rather misty dreich day but that did not deter these hardy souls.

27th January Bus Trip to Glasgow

We walked beside the River Kelvin to the Kelvin Grove Museum for lunch then a look at the Museum.  We then walked to the Transport Museum for a quick visit before boarding the bus for Perth where we enjoyed a delicious High Tea in the George Hotel.  A lovely day out

25th January Dundee West Circular Walk

4 mile walk from the West End of Dundee to the Observatory, Balgay Hill and Victoria Park.  Most of us enjoyed Lunch in the cafe at the Botanical Gardens.

21st January East Haven to Arbroath

12 Ramblers braved the chilly winds on this 6 mile walk.

13th January Errol to Port Allen

50 people attended this walk.  Must be a record for the group.

Family Walk 7th January Carnoustie

10 Adults and 10 children came along on a very cold but sunny day.  We walked along by the shore then round the golf course.

6th January - North Dundee 5 miles

A walk from Stobsmuir Ponds to Caird Park and Trottick Reserve. We were invitied to the leader's home for tea, coffee, scones and cakes and raised £52 for the Dundee Foodbank
