Social Events

Cleeve have an active social calendar.

The events planned for 2018/2019 are:-

  • Wednesday, 3 October 2018  Severn Cider - Walk followed by lunch and cider pressing.

Join us for a leisurely 4.5 mile walk followed by a visit to Severn Cider, an award winning family run cider and perry producer based in Awre, Gloucestershire. Our visit will begin with a cider tasting, giving you the opportunity to select your favourite tipple to enjoy with your ploughman's lunch. After lunch the cider maker will escort us on a tour to explain and show us the process of cider production. Tickets are £20 inclusive of lunch and cider, and payment is due by 3rd Sept. Alternative drinks will be available. The cider tasting will start between 12:15/12:30.
  • Friday 9 November 2018. Skittles evening.
Join us for an evening get together, a game of skittles and a hot buffet at the London Inn, Charlton Kings, Cheltenham GL52 6HU.
Parking available opposite pub and behind Sixways Clinic (gate sign says St. Edwards School) and on nearby roads.
Cost is only £11 per person.

  • Saturday 17 November 2018 AGM
The Annual General Meeting will take place in Southam Village Hall. We will follow the same procedure as last year, with a short walk at 11A.M. followed by the AGM itself, and a bring and share lunch. Tea/coffee will be provided.
  • 28 Sept 2019 Jersey walking holiday

          We are planning a walking holiday in Jersey in October 2019 for seven nights from  28 Sept. to 5 Oct 2019. Price is app. £925 per person for a shared twin room or £995 for a single. This link gives further information. Currently we have provisionally booked rooms for 14 members, and have reserved two additional rooms. Flights, from Bristol or possibly Southampton,  are included. If you would like to join us please contact Brian as soon as possible.

External events

The Dursely Walking Festival is providing two walks starting from the Cam/Dursley railway station  on Saturday 6th Oct 2018. Details of these specific walks can be found here and all the other festival walks here
