The lifting of Covid-19 restrictions has enabled us to start the summer well, and several of us have enjoyed some lovely walks across the county thanks to enterprising leaders. The London Loop programme is underway once more. We’re still doing relatively few walks, though, and relying on fewer leaders, compared to other Groups. If you’d like to take up or return to leading, please contact Stella (see above) – and see below for a chance to have your say.
AGM and Christmas lunch: back to normal, cautiously
Your committee has provisionally booked the AGM for Saturday 6 November at the Friends Meeting House in North Finchley (as in 2019). A Christmas lunch is also planned at the Prospect of Whitby in Wapping, with a walk from Blackheath preceding. More details later – and both are subject to any restrictions at the time.
Are you a reluctant leader?
The lockdowns seem to have left a number of leaders reluctant to take up leading again. If you’ve been put off by the booking system, risk assessments and so on, there’s a chance to say so. Central Office is running a new Special Interest Group with online meetings. To find out more and join in, visit https://tinyurl.com/5umnbaes.
