7. Finchley and Hornsey Ramblers Great Malvern Walking Weekend 1-4 October.

Finchley & Hornsey are running a walking weekend based in Great Malvern, Worcestershire.  Book own accommodation in the town. Guided walks on Saturday 2.10.21, Sunday 3.10.21 and Monday 4.10.21.

Great Malvern Long Weekend 1-4 October 2021 –  The following is our exciting walk program.  Please note the order may change depending on weather.  

Meet on Friday 1st Oct at 7pm at the Foley Arms, 14 Worcester Rd, GM, WR14 4QS or, if arriving late, Sat 2nd Oct at 10.00 am ready for the first walk.

Saturday 2 October: Worcester - Meet at 10:00 at the Sir Edward Elgar Statue/Malvina Spring fountain at the top of Church Street for a linear walk to Alfrick, 7.5 miles, or extend to Knightwick, 11 miles.  From here catch bus to Worcester for a look around before getting the train back to Great Malvern.
Bring a picnic.

Sunday 3 October: Malvern Hills - Meet at 10;00 at the Sir Edward Elgar Statue for a circular walk along the Malvern Ridge via Worcestershire Beacon and Hertfordshire Beacon, 10 miles.
Shorter options: returning by train from Colwall stone, 6 miles, or  shorter circular walk.
Picnic required, there will be kiosks etc for tea,coffee.  Pub at British Camp

Monday 6 October: Ledbury - Meet at Rosebank Garden Bus Stop at 09:55 for the 10 am bus to Wyche Cutting (14 minute bus ride).  Linear walk - Upper Wyche to Ledbury, 8 miles, and train or bus back to Great Malvern.
Bring a picnic.  Tea shops in Ledbury.
