Chairmans report (summary) Martin Shaw
A great variety of walks, thanks to all leaders and participants. Thanks to Alan Cooper for producing the programme. Roger and Mary Gomm offering some shorter walks to meet up with others at lunchtime. We have decided to increase our print run of programmes so we can leave copies in pubs, libraries, doctors’ surgeries to encourage people to join us.
New data protection regulations came into force last May. Walk leaders have signed consent forms regarding their names and phone numbers to appear in the programme and on the web page.
Despite membership numbers declining through people moving away or retiring, we continue to attract new members.
The coach outing to Rye and Hastings was a great success and the model for a morning and afternoon walk, with the option of visiting local attractions seems to prove popular. Thanks to Ruth for suggesting Rye, Lorraine for local information and Mike and Viv for helping with the recce. Please suggest ideas for the next coach trip.
Many thanks to Margaret for hosting a summer picnic in July. The next social will be the Christmas walk and bring and share lunch at Reed Village Hall on Saturday 1st December.
Thanks to all Committee Members and everyone who has put forward suggestions.
Regarding data proctection, Alan said that we now have a procedure controlling the e-mailling of news and a list of 104 people confirmed.
Treasurer’s report: (summary) Alan Ellis
General fund – accepted basic funding from Area. Net deficit of £90. Balance carried forward £640.95.
Social fund – no subsidy for the Christmas party. Overall a surplus of £67.00. Coach outing to Rye & Hastings produced a deficit of £95.00.

Footpath Secretary’s report
Barley 14 – David A Allard attended a site visit on Wednesday 13th September and is pleased to report that the diversion has been confirmed by the Inspector.
Area Representative’s report: Mike Flexmore
Despite it being a damp day there were 72 people but only 3 from Royston.
Next year Royston would be hosting area walk.
