Stag Walkers run a group-led walk nearly every weekend. Walks vary in length from 5 to 15 miles and of varying difficulty from a leisurely walk in parkland to a more strenuous hike at a faster pace.

We publish our walks on a three-monthly basis. If we are approaching the end of a programme period, please check back soon as the next programme will be published shortly.

We often start from a pub and will have a drink after the walk. On longer walks there is normally a lunch stop, this might be in a shady (or sunny) spot on the walks, or it might be a local pub.

Bring a picnic lunch (and sufficient water) with you unless a walk specifically says we'll be eating at the pub - normally we just have a drink.

On occasion we run walks further afield - sometimes over a weekend. Look out for details on our website or Facebook group.

Joining us on a walk

Just turn up at the walk start point at the specific time. Look out for 'introductory walks' if you want to try a short, easy walk.

A meeting point is often used to encourage car sharing, look out for details in the walk information. Please note that a lift CANNOT be guaranteed. car sharing is organised via the Facebook group and Meetup and we encourage car sharers to offer a smal donation to the driver to cover fuel cost.
