SUCCESS STORY
One of our walkers enjoyed taking a few pictures with her little camera and submitted one (see below) to the ramblers picture competition. Little did she know that she would become the winner. Well done Sonia.

Nov 2016 - Ropsley Thursday short walk

Nov 2016 - While the sun was shining around Culverthorpe, it must have been raining the previous day with everybody cleaning their boots!!

Sept 2016 - A delightful 4.5 miles country walk around Fulbeck. From the ridge we saw Lincoln Cathedral and the Cooling Towers of a power station in the Trent Valley.

Sept 2016 - Starting from the interesting church at Irnham we headed off through the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside. Eventually we reached a ford and walked through a small village to a wood. We saw Red Kites, Buzzards and Fallow deer, along with numerous small birds.

July 2016 - At a loose end? It is Sunday and there is no bus service. The phone does not ring and the postman is not delivering any post. Luckily that is not the way our Susan felt as she is changing her shoes after a challenging walk around Grimsthorpe Castle.

June 2016 - A steam train ride: Gary led a walk through the nene valley, where we enjoyed a train ride, pulled by a steam engine, from Wansford to Ferry Meadows. We then had a varied walk back through woodland, beside the river and through meadows, with lots of interesting things to see.

May 2016 - A leisurely 8 mile walk from Oasby to Culverthorpe Park, finishing with a sneaky drink at The Houblon Inn.

Alsoon a beautiful sunny morning 14 of us set out from Thurlby on a 4 mile walk. We rambled along paths and through meadows to reach Dole wood which was looking splendid with its carpet of bluebells and greater stitchwort, before returning via fields of wheat.

April 2016 - A good 10 mile walk from Elkesley with lunch at Clumber Park.
