The Northumbria Area stretches from Berwick upon Tweed & Alnwick in the North to Chester le Street and Durham in the South. From Derwentside in the West to Sunderland in the East.
There are 14 groups within the Area based upon the main towns and all our walks are in the superb surrounding countryside.
The total membership of the area is 2038 as of August 2019.
The Area publishes a downloadable walks book with 345 walks available from February to July 2019
The groups warmly welcome new members or those who would like to go walking while visiting Northumbria.(all walks are advertised/posted on the Northumbria website and most groups have there own website with contact details)
Whether you are in your 20’s or 80’s, like a shorter walk or a strenuous session in the hills or like most of us something in between we can offer several walks every week in pleasant company at different venues throughout this beautiful area.
