Group name: Four Wells
This group is a part of Powys Area.
Our activities include:
Short and easy walks, Path maintenance
UPDATE ON THE CURRENT COVID 19 CRISIS:
As of Tuesday 24th March, we will no longer be walking as an independent group. This situation will continue for as long as the 'lockdown' is in place. We hope many of you will continue to walk independently and locally during this period, and we look forward to resuming normal service at some point in the future. Keep well, stay safe.
The Four Wells Ramblers are based in Mid Wales, loosely around the four spa towns of Llandrindod Wells, Builth Wells, Llanwrtyd Wells and Llangammarch Wells. However our membership is not restricted to this area. We walk locally and further afield taking in the breathtaking scenery of the Black Mountains, the Brecon Beacons, the Ceredigion Coastal paths and some of the quieter more hidden areas of Mid Wales. We also venture out into Herefordshire and Shropshire at times!
Members of the group also participate in the maintenance of our rights of way network in conjunction with Powys County Council Countryside Services, clearing paths, surveying bridges, and replacing stiles and gates.
Our aim for 2020 is to increase our membership by publicising ourselves and our walks better. We will also be offering a wider range of walks that we hope will encourage those who don’t walk regularly or feel a bit daunted by the thought of joining a group.
We like to think we are a friendly bunch of people, and welcome new faces whether they are just passing through, or intend to join us. We are always on the look out for new members and if they feel moved to become more involved with us and The Ramblers organisation so much the better. You can try us out for 3 walks, but if you want to become a regular walker with the group then you will need to join the Ramblers
. Why not give us a try?
For further information on specific walks, please contact the walk leader.
Please note: We regret we do not allow dogs on walks.
