Family walks

We lead short Sunday morning walks for all the family during the warmer months and on some half term weekends in partnership with Shrewsbury Ramblers. These events are currently suspended due to Corona virus but we hope we can resume one day.

Everyone is welcome. Babies in backpacks can bring along their parents, grandparents and great grandparents. Do check with the walk leader first if you want to bring a push chair as there may be steps or a short slope or a muddy bit - NB muddy puddles are not guaranteed for Peppa fans!

These walks are between 2.5 to 4 miles, and we aim to finish in good time for you to go on to a family Sunday lunch or have a picnic afterwards. Most walks are adjacent to picnic and play areas and cafes. All walks are easy to get to and a short distance from Telford.

There are interesting things for children to see, explore and experience from the the wierd to the wonderful. Walks have included Telford Town Park with dinosaurs and duck ponds, Haughmond Hill with peregrines and amazing trees, The Jackfield Town Trail with children's art work, the River Severn's rapids and bridges and a famous 'flood door'.
