Short and Social Pub and Cafe Walks

On the first Thursday of the month there is always a "short and social walk". These walks are very popular. Due to Covid restrictions these walks continue to be short and social but we cannot offer the 'pub and cafe social lunch or tea' at the end.

Short and social walks are leisurely paced morning or afternoon walks of 5 miles or less. You won't get out of breath or left behind. There's plenty of time to chat. make friends and take a photo or two.

Short and social walks are on easy paths where stiles and steps are few or none. Although few paths in Telford and in Shropshire are completely flat, on these walks we do our best to avoid steep ups and down bits.

Short and social walks are easy to get to. Most are in and around Telford, Shifnal, Newport, Broseley or Bridgnorth or a short 'car share' journey from Telford Town Centre

Short and social walks pre Covid always ended at a local pub or cafe for an optional lunch, drinks or snacks but due to changing Govt. regulations this is not currently the case. Often our chosen pubs are in scenic locations with gardens and riverside views. Many cafes and tea shops are independent owner run, with home made cakes and local produce. You can just have a cup of tea or choose the 'full works', it's entirely up to you.

Short and social walks are a great way to make new friends and get started with walking with the Ramblers.
