SHROPSHIRE WAY FESTIVAL OF WALKS

Many thanks to the 22 people who joined Oswestry Ramblers walk from Ellesmere on Thursday 26th September.  Diane led a super walk and there were only a few short showers. Tea and cake after at the Boathouse was most welcome. It was great to see that more than 300 people took part in walks across Shropshire.

OSWALD'S TRAIL - NEW TRAIL GUIDE.  Have you tried out this circular route around Oswestry?  It is a 13 mile or 11 mile circuit or can be done in sections.  We have (July 2019) produced a revised trail guide, including a shortcut along the railway from Wilfred Owen Green.  The guide is now available to download here and paper copies will be available in local libraries, TICs, community centres etc.

Feedback to webmaster@oswestryramblers.org.uk on your experience of the trail and guide.

SHROPSHIRE WAY

The whole of the new main route of the Shropshire Way is now complete and waymarked with improved paths, stiles and gates. For more information and walks on the Shropshire Way see the website and newsletter (Nov 2019) Sorting out the route is a huge achievement and we are using it frequently for walks.

A new Ciccerone Shropshire Way guidebook will be available November 2019.  There is also a 15 minute film which is available here on YouTube
