Leisurely walks are identified by * after the grade. Super walks are identified by + after the grade. Super walks are only suitable for experienced walkers and participants should contact the leaders for departure arrangements.
The leaving points are:
Arboretum (midweek walks only as this car park is often not available at weekends) - entrance by Grange Theatre, Broadway North, Walsall WS1 2QA (Grid ref. SP028983). Not the theatre car park.
Daw End Ln - Car park opposite McDonald's in Daw End Lane, Rushall, Walsall WS4 1JT (Grid ref. SK028010).
Oak Park - Oak Park Active Living Centre, Lichfield Road, Walsall Wood, Walsall WS9 9NP (old entrance by KFC) (Grid ref.SK050036) .
Walsall College - (Sunday walks only) Car park on W side of College Way, Walsall WS2 8ES, north of College buildings. College Way is accessible from the Ring Road in both directions (Grid ref. SP013991).
The suggested voluntary contribution towards travelling expenses is £5. The places specified in the programme below are to give an idea of the area of the walk and do not necessarily mean the walk will start at or pass through them. Due to the parking facilities at the start points often being restricted the group encourages car-sharing from the meeting point in the Walsall area. Please note that we will leave promptly at the specified meeting/leaving time.
You can see a map of future walks here.
The walks are full day walks and walkers should bring a packed lunch unless indicated otherwise. Walks labelled 'PH' are planned to include a stop at a public house but this is not guaranteed as the programme is drawn up well in advance. The stop will not be long enough to order a meal (unless othewise stated) and may not be at lunchtime.
