For your diary

Cream tea event

This ever popular event has been booked for Saturday 17th August at the usual venue, East Dean Village Hall from 3pm. It’s a bit later in the year this time around as the hall is very heavily booked and we did wish to make sure we avoided the Festival of Speed!  This is open to all with a cost, once again, of £3 per head.

The cream tea will be preceded by the customary choice of two walks.

Please let Sally G know if you will be attending by Friday 9th August using either email to sallygoman@gmail.com or telephone 01243 262284 or 07749 405492

A reminder will feature in the next programme!

Chichester Walking Weekend

South West Sussex Ramblers Group is pleased to be teaming up with Visit Chichester to provide a number of walks on Friday 6th September, Saturday 7th September and Sunday 8th September. These are open to Ramblers members and we shall be pleased to welcome up to 15 members of the public to take part in each walk. On all but one of the walks, well behaved dogs along with registered assistance dogs are welcome but owners should be aware there will be occasions on the walks when their pets will have to be on leads.

The walks, each of approximately 9 miles, will be lead by experienced Ramblers leaders around the Chichester District. Non-members will need to register for the walks with Visit Chichester. They will need to be physically fit with suitable footwear and dress to meet the challenges of the day. Food and drinks are not provided and should be brought by participants. Too, there are no Public Toilets on the routes, there will be comfort breaks at suitable points to enable participants to take themselves off somewhere private!

Non-members are assured of a warm welcome and an enjoyable day taking in the wonderful countryside around our fair city.
