Based in the Scottish Borders, Eildon Ramblers is a friendlywalking group for people of all ages. We offer year-round walks to suit avariety of tastes.
The walk starts with a gentle incline from the edge of Eildon village and heads into the woodland trails of Buccleuch estate , then descends into the path through to Eildon Hall Loch. Then up to Greenwells farm before following a minor road with the Eildons to our right to Whiterigg. Heading east from Whiterigg with the hills now on our left we follow field margins into the new housing at Newtown St Boswells , follow pavement and minor road back to start point .
There are 2 or 3 relatively gentle climbs on the walk and there will be muddy stretches, poles and boots advised.
Boots & poles recommended due to the ground conditions. We plan to have coffee at Milestone after the walk
Circular walk, grade D, leisurely. Boots and poles are advised.
